Brinlee's First Swing and more!

First of all, I never blogged about Brinlee turning 5 months old! On the day she turned 5 months, she got her first tooth! And then a week later she got her 2nd! She had been grinding her jaw together so I figured one was coming but I could feel something in the back of her mouth that felt like maybe a tooth , so I was surprised one morning when I was wiping her mouth and felt a tooth in the front. It is so crazy to me that she already has teeth. She also started on green veggies and she loves them! No gross faces or anything. She just slurps them right up!

This picture is actually rice cereal but I thought it was cute.

Then on Saturday we decided to take advantage of the warm weather and go to the park. I really wanted to let Brinlee swing because she loves her swing at home so I thought she would like to try out a real one. She loved it. It was kind of windy and she really didn't care for the wind to much but she really like the swing and watching the kids play.

My New Nephew

Trace McKay Christiansen was born on Wednesday April 15th. We weighed 7 lbs 9 oz and was 20 inches longs. He is my brother Travis' 2nd baby. He is so cute! He had tons of black hair and is a little snuggle bug. I am so happy to be his Aunt!

Easter in Cedar!

Like every year, we went to Cedar City for Easter. It was lots of fun. It was our first trip with Brinlee and it was defiantly interesting driving down with baby, but we survived!

Here are some pictures of us coloring eggs!

It ended up snowing (just my luck!) so we had our picnic in a church. We had a good time. We sang karaoke and ate good food and had a Easter egg hunt.

Then Dave and I went to St. George to get some sun.

Brinlee got lots of fun stuff from the Easter Bunny! She loves her little piano.

Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Easter at The Gainers

Last weekend we had our Easter Picnic for the Gainers. We had it up at Grandmas and Grandpa Boyd's. They hid eggs all through out there huge backyard! Brinlee did pretty well! She got lots of candy and $4! There was one bad thing though, Brinlee broke out in a huge rash on her cheek! It scared me to death! I don't know what it is from but we decided it must have been something from outside. We put some cream on it and it went away but I hate when scary things like that happen.

Busting at the seems

Today I seem to be busting at the seems with happiness and gratitude and thought it would be appropriate to share my feelings with my loved ones since I am sure I don't tell them enough. The past few months have been hard for different reasons and I am starting to feel the sunshine come through the clouds.
First I am very thankful for my family and their love and understanding with us. I am so thankful for having such a close family. I am also thankful for all there advice and help.
Next I want Ashlee to know how grateful I am for her. I have been so lucky to have her as a room mate my whole life, but especially the past 4 years and I am really going to miss her when she gets married. I know that it probably hasn't been always the funnest living with us but she is such a great friend to me and such a great help especially with Brinlee. I am going to miss her so much.
Next I would like to thank Dave for being my husband. I honestly don't think I could be married to a better man. He is so determined and such a hard worker and takes such good care of us. He never gets mad at me (which I am sure is sometimes hard) and even if I am mad at him he always seems to fix it even if it isn't his fault. He is so much fun to be around. He is a great father and Brinlee adores him. I am so grateful for all he sacrifices to be a good dad and husband.

I am so grateful for Brinlee. She is such a sweet, loving baby. I am so grateful that I can be a stay at home mom and spend the days with her. She is learning so much and she always cracks me up with the noises she makes. I can't image my life with out her. She has taught me so much about myself in the last 5 months . I hope that I can love her and teach her as much as my mom did me.
And finally I am so thankful to be a member of the church. I don't know why it is so hard for me to learn the lesson that the church is always there for you no matter what the trial is. It seems I always try to carry the burden myself until I just can't anymore. And then I realize that I don't need to do it myself. We had the opportunity to attend the Draper Temple Dedication and be in the room with the Prophet. As I sat and listened him speak, it made me put everything back into perspective and to look at the big picture and what this life really means.
