Christmas

Christmas this year was so much fun! First of all I got a wonderful Christmas present of Brinlee walking! She is doing really great! She still rather crawl but when she decides to walk she does a great job! I absolutey love this time of the year and being a Mom makes it so much better! Brinlee was really into, she would say Ohhh every time she would open a gift or see Christmas stuff. It was so cute!

Here are some pictures of her in front of the tree. Pictures with a 1 year old are hard. She will never sit still or look at the camera, and with drool dripping off her chin because drools more than any baby I know, and if she does look at the camera its with her cheesy smile which is adorable but not quite what I was hoping for

These are pictures from our Christmas party at my Dad's house. We usually meet together somewhere between Christmas and Thanksgiving to celebrate both, but this year instead of turkey we all wanted his famous cashew stuffed chicken.

These pictures I had to throw in because I thought they were hilarious. I am trying to teach her how to eat with utensils. You can tell how good that is going :)

These pictures are from Christmas Eve. We didn't know what time Dave would get off because his boss is a jerk, but he was able to get off at around 2 and since it was such a beautiful day we decided to take our new sled out for a ride. This was the first time Brinlee has played in the snow.

Brinlee with all her gifts
This was our 2nd annual Ugly Sweater Party. I didn't get pictures of everyone else's so if you want to see them go to Ashlee's blog. I got mine from the children section if you couldn't tell. And guess who the winner was..................................ME!! Yay!

All bundled up for temple square

Christmas morning. We opened presents as a family, minus Travis and Nicole but them came over after for breakfast

Grandma Judy got all the grand kids a horse!

Brinlee finally getting a chance to play with her toys after along day of visiting family

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and has a Happy New Year!!

So very grateful!

This year has been a great year but I would be lying if I said it was an easy one. We have tried our hardest this year to make our lives better in the long run, which meant getting out of debt and Dave finding a career that he enjoyed more than being a mechanic. So after lots of praying Dave decided that he really wanted to become a personal trainer. He got a second job at 24 Hour Fitness working at the front desk and since July has been working his butt off to get to be a trainer and to take care of us. He leaves for work at 7:00 am and gets home at 11:00 pm every night. This has definnatly been hard on all of us but we knew that if we did all we could do that we would be blessed. We were hoping that by summer or fall of 2010 our situation would be better and we would be able to switch from both jobs to the one. But by some great micracle Dave was offered a postion to be the Assistant Fitness Manager at the Taylorsville location. This would mean he would be in charge of all the personal trainers and be trainer himself! And it would also pay more than we are making now with both jobs! And he would only have to work 45 hours a week! He starts on January 1st and I am so very proud of him and grateful for all he does for us and I am so excited to be to actually spend time with him again!

Whats new?

Whats new?....nothing really :) but I thought I would post since it has been almost a month. Brinlee is still growing everyday. When we took her to the Dr. for her 12 month check-up she was 33 inches tall and 27 lbs. She is still off the charts in height and coming back down to 99% in weight, which I was surprised because 27 lbs seems quite heavy to my arms :) She is so close to walking. I am hoping it will be my Christmas present from her. She loves to walk pushing her block cart and she does does a few steps on her own until she realizes what she is doing. She is talking up a storm. She still ask "What is that?" a million times a day and I try my best to answer her. She almost chants it now when she really wants to know. She can meow, bark, and quack. She knows where her nose and mouth are. My favorite thing she says is "Tickle Tickle". She loves to tickle everyone and even her own feet. She is very loving and loves to kiss and rock all her dolls and stuffed animals. She amazes me everyday with what she learns and is always making me laugh. Some pictures of Thanksgiving in Cedar
Collette and I took the kids to a live Nativity. These are the pictures of us freezing in the 1 1/2 long line.

As for Dave, he is getting closer on letting them make him a personal trainer part time. If that happens then hopefully by the summer I will have a husband again :) which would be really nice. But he is doing a great job taking care of us girls and we are very thankful for all he does.

As for me I turned the big 26 on Friday. I feel very old :) but I guess it could be worse. It was a very fun Birthday and lasted all weekend long:) which was great. I feel I grew up allot during 25 and that made it a good year so I hope 26 is even better. This is what I woke up to on my Birthday! What I love best! Candy!
