Race for my Mom

Last Saturday was the Ovarian Cancer 5k at Sugar House Park. It was really neat to be able to go and honor my Mom. Last year we were the only people who had made shirts and it must have been a big hit because everyone made shirts this year. It was neat to see who they were there for. Collette made our shirts this year and she did a really great job.

It was really amazing to see so many people come together for a good cause. Hopefully every year it will get bigger. This year I had the opportunity to be interviewed by the SLC Tribune about my Mom. Unfortunately my interview didn't make the paper but it felt good to be able to tell my Moms story.

1 becomes 4

Let me introduce you to my quadruplets. Brinlee, Rosie, Lilly, and Livie.About 2 weeks ago, Brinlee pointed at a doll from her crib so I let her sleep with her. They have been inseparable ever since. She even made it to church with us once because I was so used to Brinlee carrying her around I didn't notice until we were walking in. Over the past week 2 more have joined the group and they have become more than just dolls to Brinlee. They must be where ever she is, they must do what she is doing. I have brushed their teeth, pretended to rub lotion on them, changed diapers, and she even insists I kiss them all before bed :) She has even insisted they need there own blanket at night. I forgot this minor detail last night and wondered why she was screaming so I went down and sure enough she was pointing to the blanket sticking out of the toy box. It is getting pretty crowed in that crib.
She is such a silly girl, I just hope she not predicting the future because it is lot of work with just 3 dolls :)

Sewing Question?

I have a sewing question for a you sewers out there... I bought Brinlee some normal white t-shirts and I want to make them more girly. I have found lots of tutorials on the sleeves but not on the neck line. Do you have any suggestions or good blogs or websites I can check out? I did see one for just cutting it out and not sewing anything, but that wasn't my favorite. Thanks for your input!
