A very fun day

Beware: Picture overload and thanks to Ash for taking them because she does such a great job.

On Friday, all of us (Ashlee and Josh, Collette and kids, Nicole and kids and friend, and Dave, Brinlee and me) met down at the Gateway to run through the fountain. Everyone had a blast. We were there for like 2 hours we had so much fun. It was so much fun to watch all the kids (and Dave :)) have such a good time. I personally loved watching when the fountain would turn off for a little bit and then watching every ones face when it came blasting back on :) he he.
My daughter is absolutely fearless. She just ran right on in and never turned back. She never cried once even when she got a fountain right in the eye.

Fat Friday?

I know I haven't been doing very well on keeping up on my posts but yesterday and today I had 2 little successes that might not seem very eventful but they are to me, so I decided to share.

First I am pretty sure you all know that I am a very big dork, so don't judge me too hard after reading this. But as some of you know that I may be Richard Simmons biggest fan :) I absolutely love him. He is probably on the top 3 list of people that I would like to meet. One of my biggest dreams is to go to his aerobic class he teaches in LA. So naturally I own all of the Sweating to the Oldies collection. I used to do them all the time when I started in January but they are an hour long so it was hard to get an hour in with Brinlee back then. But I have still been having trouble with my legs so today I decided that it would be a good one to do today. My favorite video is the second one (in case you want to try it, don't knock it till you try it) and there is a workout to Jail House Rock. Basically it is 5 minutes of doing the twist. I have never been able to finish it. I usually get a side ache like 1 minute in. But today......I did it! I was so proud. I know it seems dumb but I feel good that I can do it!

Second is that since I have been having trouble with my legs I need to stretch more so I decided yoga was a good way to do that. So Dave decided to put me on the Wii fit last to do yoga on it. I know that this is going to sound ever dumber then my first post but I haven't been on the Wii fit for a long time because it is mean. I know, I know, how can a video game be mean? Well it would always make me feel fat and like I couldn't do anything. So I was nervous to try again last night. But I got on and it had my weight saved from last time so it showed I lost 7 lbs and it kept complementing my balance and form. I know that it is dumb but it was just nice to see that I am changing and even a video game noticed :) ha ha

So here is what has happened in the last 2 weeks. I lost 3 inches 2 weeks ago and an 1 3/4 this week. I haven't loss more weight but I am trying hard this week to stick to my meal plan, and also Dave told me he would buy me new shoes if I loose 5 pounds in a month :) That always helps to motivate me :)

Summer of Fun

Last year I felt like we didn't have a summer. Dave started working his 2nd job in July and so was gone pretty much all day and all week. So we decided to make every moment of this summer count. So first... we decided to go on a picnic every Tuesday. We are going to try to go to a new spot every week (so if you have have any good suggestions) We aren't making it a huge fancy picnic, but just packing up what we would normally eat for lunch at home and going some where fun to eat it.
Second...we are going swimming twice a week. We have a pool in our townhouse community so it is nice. And third....We have an outing planned every Friday (to go along with family fun day). Nothing to big and expensive (since we are poor :)) but for example we plan going to Gateway to run through the fountain, go up to canyon, go to a Bees game and so forth.
I am really excited to be able to really enjoy this summer! We are week 2 and so far we have stuck to it. Here are some pictures from our picnic this week

Summer Days

Who knew a bucket and hose could be so much fun? I love being a parent. It really brings back those memories of how fun and simple childhood is. I absolutely love to watch her play and have a good time.
She absolutely loves water. I didn't think she would love the hose. The water was freezing but she didn't let that stand in her way.

Fat Tuesday

I know its Wednesday but this week has been busy so I didn't get my measurements until tonight.
And da da da DAA... I lost 3 lbs this week and 2 1/2 inches! When I got on the scale I honestly thought it was broken and turn it off and on again before I tried again. I am so proud!

The only bad thing is that I got periformis syndrome which is caused by an over tightening of the i.t. bands leaving a giant knot in my syatic nerve so this week I haven't worked out because it hurts so bad. But since I lost 3 this week I guess I deserve a break :) I am going to try to workout tomorrow because Dave used those awful foam rollers on it tonight and it feels better. Hopefully you all have a great week!

Memorial Day

We decided to just take it easy yesterday. Dave had to work till 5 so after he got home we decided to go to this park that we always have wanted to go to off of Wasatch. It was a very fun park and there was not many people there so that was nice. It seems like we have always have the most fun as a family at the park. It is so fun to see Brinlee just run around and be crazy. I can't wait till some day when we have a back yard for her to play in.
Brinlee has been OBESSED with bubbles lately. I let her just have a bubble wand to play with and she goes around blowing pretend bubbles all day long. She could blow bubbles for hours. You have to be careful not to even say bubble around her or she will grab her shoes and go to the door :)
On the way back we stopped at Dave's dads grave. The cemetery looked like a field of flowers. It was beautiful. I was so happy that people took time out of there day to pay tribute to their loved ones. I hope everyone had a nice, relaxing day!

I finally got a picture with her looking!
She runs so fast. If anyone walked by with a dog she would chase them and almost get to them before we could catch her. The funny thing about grass is that she takes after me. She hates to feel of it. If she falls down she wont put her hands down to get up :) Its funny
Dave could seem to get a picture of me without the chain in my face :) So this was the best one
