So now I think I am caught up.. Here is what is going on now in our life. The house hasn't sold yet but we have had over 30 people call on it! And few come and walk through. We are going to have an open house in a few weeks and so hopefully that brings a lot of people too. We feel good about all the interest and hope that soon it will sell. Yesterday we decided to take a little break from life and go up the canyon for dinner. We had a great time minus all the bugs! We all had tons of bug spray but still got eaten alive

Draper Days
Draper Days has turned out to be one of my new favorite holidays! I love it. This year started out on Friday with a free concert from Collin Raye! It was so fun and we had a great time. My best friend Melissa and her family came with us this year and it brought back lots of our memories of going and seeing concerts together when we were younger :)And stupid me didn't get any pictures of us together :(
Saturday included the parade, going to the park, and then fireworks. We had a really good time.

Lots of posts...
It has been a very, very busy summer and so I have been bad at staying up on my blog, but it is a good, lazy Saturday and Brinlee is napping so I thought I would catch up. First of all, Dave's sister Heidi returned from her mission from Washington this month. It is really good to have her home. Here are some pictures of it. I had Brinlee finger paint a Welcome Home sign. She had fun doing it and me being the forgetful person I am, didn't take a picture of the final product.

18 month pics
More like 20 month pics...Between the bad weather at the first of summer and busy schedules we really didn't get Brinlee pictures done until she almost 20 months. Ashlee did them for me :) (thanks Ash) and we decided she Brinlee is such a busy girl that we should go somewhere to run around. So we went to Gardner Village. We went in the afternoon and there was like no one there so it was wonderful. I think the turned out super cute and really got her personality.
Something new things about little miss Brinlee are... she is a total comedian. She thinks that she is hillarous and laughs at everything she does. She always has an awesome fake laugh and covers her mouth when she laughs like she is a proper lady or something. It is very cute. She is talking like crazy. She can pretty much say any word you can. Her favorites this week are bug, outside, baby, hot, color, and cookie. She loves to be outside and blow bubbles. It was so funny over the weekend we were blowing bubbles and being the very independent, stubborn girl she is, she likes to do it herself. She actually does well and blows some every once in a while but she does have to put it practically in her mouth. So after telling her a million times to not eat the bubbles she still does but she turned to me to tell me something and when she opened her mouth to talk like 4 huge bubbles came out. It was hilarious. It reminded me of Little Rascals. She is such a sweetie, she is really into babies and loves her new cousin Kyra. I was babysitting her today and Brinlee was by my side the whole time helping, cooing, and kissing her. She also wrapped up Buzz Lightyear in a blanket and rocked him.
To answer all the questions about her curly hair..I don't know where it comes from. I have natural curl in mine and it did get more curly after I had her and Dave has a little in his so I guess that is where. The weird thing is that she wasn't born with it. After her first birthday it started to curl and it gets curlier as it grows. Maybe it was all the Hawaiian pizza and snow cones I ate while I was pregnant :)

A step backward to move foward...

After a lot of thinking and a lot of praying, we put our house up for sale yesterday. Dave and I have been feeling for the past few months that it was the right thing to do and we have been kind of dragging our feet. But over the past month we have received lots of signs that it is the right thing to do. We are not in a state where we have to sale it quick for money reasons but our biggest goal is to buy a house with a yard and we can't really save up while we are in this house.
It is really hard for me because this house means a lot to me. This is the house we helped my Mom build it after my parents divorce was final, this is the house we lived in when she passed away, the house where Ashlee and I had to grow up fast, the house where I met Dave and fell in love, the house where we lived when we got married and the house I brought Brinlee home to after she was born. There are so many memories here but I know it is for the best.
So keep us in your prayers that it will sell fast and if you know any one that is interested let me know! It is really cute :)

The 4th of July
I have learned form this trip to never have any expectations when you travel with children.
We went to Cedar City, like always to spend the 4th with my family. Cedar decided to celebrate the 4th on Monday and since Dave gets off at noon on Fridays we decided to make a long weekend out of it because we needed a vacation. If I only had known what was to come.
Brinlee was a complete angel the way down, sleeps half the time and plays the rest. She loves Grandma Smith and plays wonderful with her the first day. Then I guess it all began with the first skinned knee of the trip.I think she fell another 3 times over the weekend. She fell really hard on the sidewalk and totally skinned them way bad, but with a bandage she is good as new. Then as the night progressed I decided to let her stay up a little bit since we were on vacation and I didn't think she would go to bed at 8. (a little back ground info. She has never been great sleeping somewhere else, but not too bad. Usually is up a few times and ends up sleeping with us) Dave takes her back around 9:30 to lay her down, around 10:30 she comes running out of the room like it was morning, so we went for a drive and she falls asleep. We lay her down in her bed and get ready to go to sleep and she wakes up, and does this every hour on the hour until 7:00 am when we decide we have had enough and get up. Next day she is super grumpy because she didn't sleep (and so were we) and so decides not to eat hardly anything. She naps maybe an hour in the car on the way up to my Grandmas cabin. Night #2 we don't want to keep Grandma up, so we sleep on an air mattress in the living room and Dave in the recliner because he had a horrible allergy attack and couldn't breath. Once again to bed at 11 and she sleeps 2 hours with me on that, then a few with Dave in the chair then til 7 on the floor. Next day she is worst than the last so we spend 2 hours on a drive so she will nap. 3 rd night thankfully she went to bed at around 9 and woke up at 2 and spent a few hours on the couch asleep then back to bed to 7. She is totally grumpy and half asleep all through the celebration on the 4th and sleeps for 20 mins on the way back to Grandmas. We pack up and go home early. Then she doesn't even sleep the ride home til the last hour!
All I can say that if there was any bit of baby hunger in me, I lost it this weekend :) I can not live on no sleep. Want to know what she sleep last night? 7:45pm to 9:00am Talk about a tried baby
