Easter

We had a fun Easter weekend. First it started with coloring eggs at Grandma Smith's house. This was the first year that Brinlee did it. It was a little stressful for all the parents but the kids had a great time. We did ruin a pair of pants but oh well :)

Even Grandma and Kyra got in on some decorating with stickers

The next day we headed out to Hurricane for the annual Easter picnic. The weather was so nice. I had almost forgot what the sun felt like :)

Brinlee trying to eat her Dad's food :)
You may wonder how you end up with a cute a face like this?
This would be how :) She loved every minute of it. She kept saying that she was at the beach.
Hunting for some eggies as she calls them

Brinlee is pretty lucky that she gets to go on 3 egg hunts every year and the Easter bunny comes twice, once at the picnic and once that night.
We decided to get a hotel room in Cedar because Brinlee doesn't sleep well if at all on vacations, and me being the frugal person I am decided on getting the cheapest one we could find. It was a little like camping :( it was so yucky, but at least I saved money :), but I will never stay there again. Because it was so gross it made it hard for the Easter bunny to hide many eggs.

She got lots art supplies

Here she is in her Easter dress
Driving home. Her headphones weren't even plugged in but she insisted on wearing them :)
Then we headed straight to Grandma and Grandpa Boyd s for dinner and the final hunt.

March

Better late than never right? Here are some fun things we did in March.

First Aunt Heidi (Dave's sister) got married. Brinlee loved going to the temple. We have taken her a few times to walk around it but this time she thought it looked like a castle so we have been back 3 times since so she can see it.She absolutely loved her flower girl dress and thought she was a princess. It was a beautiful wedding and I am sad I didn't take many pictures, but chasing a 2 year around Cactus and Tropical was a lot of work :)
Next we celebrated St. Patrick's day. I bought this grass at Hobby Lobby for Easter but thought it would also make a cute four leaf clover patch. We didn't do too many fun things but we did have a green dinner. Apparently in Brinlee's world you must wear your tiaras backward on St. Patrick's :)
Next we got the chance again from Dave's wonderful client to be secret shoppers at a hotel. This time we decided to take Brinlee and make it a little getaway(we packed up to come home at 9 am the next morning if you were wondering how the sleeping part went :))
So the first part of the getaway we went to Discovery Gateway. Brinlee had a blast.
Then after we went to dinner and rode tracks through the city. Brinlee loves trains so this was the part she was most excited for.
Then we went back to the hotel. Here is Brinlee choosing her bed.
One of the best parts of being secret shoppers is not only is the room free but everything we want is free too. I couldn't pass up this huge chocolate cookie.
