A month of goodbyes

This month has been a month of goodbyes at the Gainer house. 1st we gave up our dog Muffy. We loved Muffy very much and she was such a fun dog. But we made the mistake getting a dog right before I got pregnant, and that wasn't the best idea. Muffy was great with Brinlee and Brinlee loved Muffy. I just felt Muffy wasn't getting all the love and attention she needed, and since Brinlee is getting ready to crawl soon I just didn't think it was the best idea to keep her. So we gave her to a family in Morgan who really wanted, who had lots of older kids to play with, and a nice big yard.

The second goodbye was Dave's Subaru WRX.It was Dave's dream car and was so fun to have. But Dave and I have been working really hard on becoming debt free, and by selling his car we could pay off almost the rest of our debt and save money gas and insurance. Man...it sucks being responsible. :)

Swimming!

First of all, I took Brinlee to the doctor on Friday for her 6 month checkup. She was 20 lbs 3 oz and 28 1/2 inches long! Holy Cow! She is totally off the charts! Than mean that in 6 months she has gained 12 pounds and 7 and a half inches! 2 pounds a month and more than an inch a month! The good thing is that she still fits in to all her clothes for her age. I don't know how, but I am happy because she has tons of fun summer clothes.

On Sunday we went to my Dad's house for his birthday. It was such wonderful weather! It was great to spend some time in the sun! Since it was so nice it was Brinlee's first time swimming! She loved it! She didn't really know what was going on at first but after she got used to it she was just splashing like crazy. I am happy she liked to swim because now I know where we will be all summer :) THE POOL!

6 months!

I can't believe it has been 6 months! And I am not going to lie there has been quite a few times that I have cried the past week thinking about how big she is and how the time has flown by. But I can truly say that the past 6 months have been the best months of my life. But enough of my boobing... Brinlee has been up to so much this month! We finally moved her to own room, which was a big step... for me :). It is downstairs so I was terrified to have her so far away. We slept downstairs with her the first few nights and she did great. I even think she is sleeping better down there, as for me it has been a week and I have finally relaxed a bit about it and can finally sleep at night. But I still make Ashlee check on her when she gets home. She loves to eat! Everything we have introduced her to she loves! It is funny! We are still just eating veggies now but I can't wait to give her fruit! I know she will love them!

She is almost sitting up! She is sooo close. I thought it would take her awhile since she is so tall but she is determined to do it, so I bet by the end of the month she will have it down. She is also just rolling around like crazy. I will put her on the floor and leave the room for 2 seconds and she will be clear across the room. It is funny. She has attempted to crawl a few times but every time she pulls her legs up she flips herself over.

For her 6 month birthday Dave was able to take the day off, so we went to the zoo. It was so much fun. I didn't really think that she would know what was going on but she would look right at the animals. And she loved to look at all the people. She has turned into quite the flirt. She was smiling at everyone
