What we have been up to...

August flew by! I knew it would with how busy we were but I am sad that summer is coming to end. That is the biggest thing I hate about Utah. 3 1/2 months of summer and the rest are winter. But here are some pictures to catch you up with the Gainer Family

August 5th was Dave and my 4th anniversy. We went and had dinner at the Asian Star, walked around Temple Square and went and got chocolate from Hatch Family Chocolates. I watch there reality show and really like it. We went for Valentines but they weren't there but they were this time! So I got to meet them and I felt famous :)
We celebrated my niece Maggie's 3rd birthday. It was lots fun. Brinlee had a blast playing all the games.
We went to the Salt Lake County Fair. I love this fair because it isn't very big and the concert is FREE. This year it was Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, who is one of my favorites. We also went the Demolition Derby. I don't know if it is the Cedar in me but I can't get enough of them. I loved it.

I also made time for a few crafts.

Then Dave's sister got married to Ashlee's brother in-law :) It is a very cute story. Last summer at Ashlee and Josh's wedding, Josh's brother Michael caught the guarder and Dave's sister, Emy caught the bouquet so they danced together and the rest is history! It gets confusing sometimes trying to remember how we are all connected :)

And last of all to take a little break we headed up to Jordanell for a day . It was so much fun and relaxing. We did spend about 15 minutes of every hour under our blankets because of rain, but that is my luck so I am used to it :) Brinlee loved digging in the sand, throwing rocking and floating on our big air mattress. It was so fun I am already wanted to start planning a trip next summer to a lake.

So mix in a open house, a yard sale, trying to keep my house super clean, and Dave working a lot and that was our month.

Its that time again!

The Ovarian Cancer walk/5k is just around the corner! It was so much fun last year and I am excited to do it again this year. My best friend Melissa came last year to support and I hope that more can come this year. I know that we all have been touched by this disease, if not through my Mom then through our friend Stephanie who passed away a few months ago. It is only $20 dollars so come out and support! I think we are going to try to make shirts again this year so let me know if you are interested! Thanks

Open House!

We are having an Open House this Saturday from 9am-12pm! Please tell all your friends that are interested in buying a house. There will be cookies so it is worth coming :)

Kids say the darndest things :)

I have heard some pretty silly things this week and I thought I would pass them on

First, Dave was in the bathroom the other day and Brinlee asked "where he go?" so I said he was in the potty. She said "Oh geez"

Second, Yesterday at family dinner Dave ran home to pick up my hair cutting supplies because I had left them and this is the conversation I had with my niece Maggie who will be 3 this week.
Maggie: Megan, your Dad is leaving
Me: I know, he had to grab something
Maggie: Are you going to cry
Me: (pretending to cry) Yes
Maggie: Don't cry Megan, you need to be strong :)

Third isn't from a child but an old man at Ashlee's work. He asked her tonight " I wonder who organized the bridal shower for Adam and Eve" :)

Everytime I think of each story I laugh so I thought you would enjoy a laugh too

Fat Tuesday

I am slacker...this I know. But just because I have been a slacker at blogging doesn't mean I have been at working out. Well 2 weeks ago was my goal date and I didn't quite make it, but I still feel really good. I lost 13 lbs in 8 months which isn't too shabby for a girl with a thyroid problem. I have 7 more to go and I seem to still be going strong. I don't think I will loose them all before the wedding in 3 weeks but I am definitely go to try! :) People have noticed lately that I look good and that makes me happy. I promised at the first of this I would show some pictures when I was done so I decided it was time for the big debut.
