All Grown Up

Brinlee has been doing some surprisingly grown up things this week. One example is while I was folding laundry she disappeared for a minute and when I saw her again I asked where she was and she had taken the dish towels up stairs for me. Another one was she has to sleep in socks and usually freaks out if I forget to put them on her and during her nap I had got up stairs and turned on her video monitor and she got out of bed got her own socks, put them on and got back in bed. But the cutest is on Saturday Dave had her by himself for lunch while I was at a baby shower. He fixed her left overs and when she was done she went and got a tupper wear, dumped her left overs in it, put a lid on it, and put it in the fridge. But Dave didn't notice her do it. So later that night Brinlee keep telling me she wanted noodles and I said we didn't have any and she said yes and went to the fridge and pulled up this :)
I don't even know how she did it by herself :) If you look close you can see some pickles mixed in too :) I don't know if she senses a change in the air and that is why she is getting so big or what but it has totally shocked me. She is so cute.

Another cute thing she does that melts my heart is if you know Brinlee she is a major Daddy's girl, which is totally fine but I would be lying if I said it didn't hurt my feelings sometimes. I know she loves me but sometimes I wish she was as excited to see me as she is Dave. But a few times lately she has grabbed my hand and said to me that we are "2 friends". It is really cute because I have never heard her say that before and she only says to me. Maybe she likes me after all :)

Draper Days

I absolutely love Draper Days! I having been going since we moved to Draper. One of the best parts is the parade. Seriously the amount of candy we get every year is even more then what Brinlee got trick or treating.

Here we are in our cute glasses :)

Brinlee loved all the princesses

It was sooo hot but I was determined to make it through it. So I came prepared :)
Brinlee stole my squirt bottle but it kept her happy :)
Later that day we headed to the park to shop at the booths for cute baby things and to listen to a Alabama cover band. Brinlee also got to ride a pony. It was a fun day

Tracks and Planets

A few weeks ago we took tracks all the way downtown. We have been wanting to do this since Christmas but life got in the way so we finally went :) PS maybe I haven't taken it for awhile but haven't prices gone up tons? I thought it used to be $2.50 round trip and it was $4.50 but it was fun so oh well :)
Brinlee loved it. She kept yelling go faster. She was a little disappointed it didn't have a whistle like a train and that we didn't see animals out the windows :) but other than that she loved it.

A funny story that happened on the way. A very frightening man with tattoo on his neck and a bandanna got on one the stops and Brinlee looked over and yells PIRATE! I was absolutely dying. The man just gave us a weird look thank goodness and Brinlee didn't say anything after that :)

Brinlee has really been into the planets lately. I think because she loves the show Bubble Guppies and there is an episode about it, so we decided to go to the planetarium while we were down town. She loved it! She kept telling people when we got home that we went to the moon :)

33 Weeks

I feel like I haven't blogged much about my pregnancy. Poor second child is already neglected :) Just kidding .I can't believe I am already 33 weeks but I am ready to not be pregnant any more. It hasn't been a bad pregnancy at all but the past few weeks I feel so uncomfortable that I am done :)
She is a little stinker and not moving much. She hasn't been very active much during the whole pregnancy but lately she has been even less so the Dr had me do a non stress test on Friday. She did great and there are no problems (I wish the nurse would have explained the machine better to me though because I was convinced something was wrong watching it the whole time) so I guess she is just lazy :)
Here are some pictures of Ash and me on Saturday with our twinner tummies.

Our new pet

Prepare for a week of posts! I am majorly behind.

We made a deal with Brinlee that if she could earn 100 pennies she could use the money to buy a fish, because she has really wanted a pet. She did really well at earning them and when she got close it was the same time we moved her into her big girl bed so we decided if she could sleep in there for a whole week by herself we would get the fish to celebrate.
She picked out blue rocks because they were here favorite :) She really wanted a pink fish and they kinda had one that looked pink but after waiting 15 mins at Walmart in the fish section and asking 2 people for help and no one coming we decided on a beta since they were already in a cup :)
He doesn't have a name beside fish because it changes into some weird made up word every time we aske her what its name is. She loves to feed it and only has touched it once :) so that's a good thing

Fathers Day

With all the stuff I have had to blog about lately I forgot that I never blogged about Father's Day. My sister suggested we should get our pictures taken for Father's Day and so I had Ashlee take them for me. I really love them! I think both Ashlee and I were surprised any turned out with how crazy Brinlee was being :)

Then I just made up a bunch of cute/cheesy sayings to go with some treats like We couldn't "picture" life without you in it, Your one great "POP", Your oFISHally the best dad...
It was a fun day:)

The 4th!

We spent the weekend of the 4th in Cedar. We had a really fun day. Saturday we just relaxed and played in my Grandmas big back yard. Then Sunday we decided to spend the day at Sand Hallow. Dave and I had never been and always wanted to go. The only bad thing was that it was 105 degrees and we were a little nervous if we could handle the heat, as long as we stayed in the water we were OK and we only stayed 2 and half hours. We had lots of fun.

When we first stepped in the water there was something swimming around my feet. As I was freaking out trying to get away from it I realized it was a crawdad (which made it worse since they have claws), but Dave thought it was awesome so he caught it and put it in a bucket. Brinlee kept calling it her lobster. I wouldn't let him put it back in the water til we were leaving because I didn't want it back in the water by me :) The picture isn't very clear but there he is.
Here is Brinlee in her 4th gear. My mom always made me and all my cousins outfits for the day so I have tried to keep the tradition with Brinlee. Dave and I have always wanted to get her cowboy boots and when we saw these red ones at Old Navy we thought they would be cute for the 4th.
We went to the parade in the morning. Brinlee is just like me when it comes to loud noises :) We hate them. So she had to have covered during all the fire trucks but she still managed to wave at them :)
Brinlee loved the marching band. She marched along with them.
Then we headed to the park for her annual fish pond. She caught a thing of bubbles and a lei.
Then we headed to Grandma's cabin. Brinlee cousin Gabriell was is town for the 4th. They are only 2 weeks apart. They had fun playing together. Brinlee kept calling her Gabby even though we kept trying to get her to say her real name but Brinlee wouldn't have it. They loved blowing the dandelions with Aunt Cindy.
We only got to spend a couple hours up there because we needed to head back to Salt Lake, but Brinlee didn't waste anytime getting dirty.
We made it back up in time to see the fire works at Thanksgiving point. We just sat on the grass in an office building. Brinlee was really excited to see them until she heard how noisy they were so we watched half on the grass and half in the car :)

It was a really fun weekend!
