My Grandma Christiansen was an amazing women. She was a WASP in World War ll. A couple a weeks ago my Dad and his brothers and sister got to go Washington DC to receive Congressional Medal of Honor in her behalf. They airred the cermony on CSPAN and I was able to watch. It was really neat. As a little girl I always knew my Grandma flew planes in the war but I really didn't understand how amazing it was until I watched the ceremony. What a cool story! I never knew that women flew some of the aircraft back then. How neat to have that in your heritage. Can you imagine doing anything like that at 23? Crazy.
